Knaresborough feva is very pleased to be forging links with King James’s School. The feva committee see it as very important to make the festival a truly community event, and King James’s School is a very big and important part of the community.
King James’s School is a highly successful comprehensive school. With a Royal Charter and foundation dating from 1616 it has an enviable tradition, identity and ethos, which is combined with the best in modern curriculum design and innovative teaching and learning.
feva links with the school by using its large “S1” hall, this year for Snake Davis and his Band. feva will also be holding an art exhibition in Chaloner Hall, in the School, that will showcase the fantastic drawings and painting of the schools A level pupils. Art examination results at GCSE, AS and A Level are well above the national average. Many A Level Art students progress either to a Foundation Course in Art or to university courses in History of Art or Combined Arts.
