Fabric Weaving Workshop
An all-day workshop to learn how to make a cushion or a bag using fabric weaving techniques. Suitable for beginners and under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum 4 people to take part, so book early. Book direct with the venue, or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Minfulness and Creativity Workshop
Rediscover your wholehearted engagement with the creative process in this workshop. No previous experience of art or mindfulness required.
Suitable for adults and teenagers 14+, though 14-16s must be accompnaied by an adult. Bring a packed lunch.
Time: 10am to 4pm

Price: £40 or early bird bookings before 1st august for £35. Teen and adult together for £60.
The Great Mandavi
Standing on the plank of doom, on top of the cylinder of almost certain death, The Great Mandavi will attempt to juggle with fire under water while fending off a man-eating shark!
Yes really! Really.

Picnic in the Park
Master of ceremonies is DJ Trev, the best DJ in the area. The afternoon starts with the Hot Sauce Band, a great party band. Then we have The Mercs Band, ska, new wave and soul. Next The Diamonds possibly the best 60’s cover band in the area. The afternoon ends with the Chequered Past Band, which are an energetic 5 piece mod, ska, punk and new wave band.
This event always happens regardless of weather (unless its gale force winds and we are likely to lose the stage!), so come and bring all the family.

Lion’s Beer Festival
Second day of the Lion’s Beer Festival, featuring the best of British beer.
The afternoon coincides with Picnic in the Park so come along and enjoy a beer while listening to Hot Sauce, The Mercs, The Diamonds and Chequered Past.
Live musical entertainment in the evening from Paul Watson.

“The Singing Mermaid” Storytime
Painting Pots will be reading “The Singing Mermaid” whilst participants complete mermaid crafts, have a juice and snack then paint their very own mermaid. Booking essential and dressing up positively encouraged.

March of the Mermaids
Henshaw’s Arts and Crafts Centre presents Knaresborough’s second “March of the Mermaids”. Come to Henshaws Urban Beach dressed as a mermaid, merman or pirate. The gossip (group of mermaids) will be assembling at 3pm before departing on a short guided march.
There will be a prize for the best dressed mermaid and best dressed pirate.
There will be mermaid themed craft activities taking place at the centre from 11am and a “Diversity Disco” after the march.

Forster & Smith – Inevitable
Forster & Smith present “Inevitable”, a unique blend of magic, mentalism and humour where the audience decides the outcome of the entire show!
There is no telling what will happen, as the duo hands over control to the audience.
