Long and Short FEVA Walks

Join a guided walk out of Knaresborough into the countryside.  There will be two groups to choose from, depending on how far and how fast you’d like to walk.  One group will cover eight miles around Ribston and Goldborough, while the other group, walking at a gentler pace, will cover four miles including Birkham Wood.

Please meet at the Market Cross, ready for a 10am start.  Both groups are expected to return at around 2.30pm.

Stout footwear is required.  Please bring your own sandwiches.  These walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.  Admission is free.

Family Disney Quiz with DJ Trev

Featuring an all live music round, this year provided by Captain (Jack) and The Bear (necessities) plus two rounds of questions, this is an event for all ages!

The rounds are broken down into the following specialties, so chose your team wisely:

  • Round one: Tra”disney”ional cartoons
  • Round two: The songs of Disney
  • Round three: Pixar this: futuristic computer animation films…

Unlike Trev’s weekly pub quiz at 10 Devonshire Place (which will still be happening that evening in Harrogate) the quiz will have less rude jokes and more sweets, and entry costs just £1 per person.

Henshaw’s has a fully licensed bar if Dad or Mum needs a beer to get through this, plus there will also be food available.  There are picnic tables and straw bales provided for seating, but numbers of these are limited so arrive early or bring your own seating to be safe!

The quiz starts at 1pm and we hope to have the prizes dished out by 4pm but if its very busy allow an extra half hour, eh?  Last year it was pretty busy and we were all done by 4pm… but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Time: 12.30 to 4pm

Venue: Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre

Price:  £1 per person, pay on the day
