Norma Galley

Norma’s work can be viewed at No. 10 Kirkgate and Floral Decor.

I am a painter who fuses glass, and have a BA (hons) in Art and Design from
Bradford College of Art.   For my paintings I use acrylics and oils and paint
whatever I am thinking about when I go into my Studio.  Brushes are seldom used, instead I paint with plastic cards.  Texture and bold colour are the things I love in art of any kind. I create beautiful unique jewellery in my  studio in Knaresborough, N. Yorkshire. with  Bullseye glass and Dichroic glass.  Dichroic glass filters the light so that the colours seem to alter as the glass moves.     The effect is stunning. Dichroic glass makes the most beautiful fused glass jewellery, full of light and dazzling colour.  Each piece I make is completely unique –  never  are two pieces the alike, except for earrings!!

I also make all sorts of other things in glass besides jewellery and  I hope you like my efforts.

My addiction to glass came about when my son enrolled me in a Summer

School at Marlborough  College in Wiltshire to learn Glass Fusing.

This was a fantastic birthday present. The rest is history.

Thank you Jason.

My work can be seen at the following galleries :-

The Barn Owl Bothy, Dornoch.
